For some activities, you will need a few everyday ingredients or kitchen items from home, such as milk, ice, a blender, eggs, butter, flour or sparkling mineral water.

The activity box is a great option when you want to keep a few activities for kids at home for weekends, school holidays or rainy days. If a friend comes over, choose one activity and make something together. Sometimes it is useful to have something ready to offer when a child asks what they can do. Make lemonade or a milkshake one day, bake another day and save a craft project for the next. You do not have to come up with a new idea and buy separate materials every time.

The activity box makes a fun birthday gift, a gift to take when visiting friends or simply a small surprise. If a friend comes over, children can choose an activity and do it together – for example bake cookies, make fresh pasta or try a craft project.

3. Five Christmas stocking fillers
At Christmas, you can divide the five activities into five separate stocking surprises. For example, add a small treat to the stocking one morning and one of the activities the next, then alternate between them. This means every stocking surprise does not have to be sweets – the child also gets something new to make or create.

Choose 5 different activities for your box

Mini milkshake kit – milkshake mix and decorations
Make one cold and creamy milkshake and finish it with colourful decorations. We will surprise you with one of three flavours: vanilla, peach or banana. At home, you will need 100 ml of cold milk, approximately 200 g of ice and a blender.

Mini hot chocolate kit – hot chocolate mix and decorations
Make one cup of hot chocolate and decorate the finished drink. We will surprise you with one of three flavours: milk chocolate, banana or pink Ruby chocolate. You can choose how thick you would like the drink by adjusting the amount of milk. At home, you will need milk, a small saucepan and a hob.

Mini pasta kit – pasta cutter and flour mix
Make your own fresh pasta. The kit includes enough flour mix for one preparation and a small reusable pasta cutter that you can keep using afterwards. At home, you will need an egg, a rolling pin and a little flour. Allow approximately 60 minutes for the activity.

Mini cookie kit – unicorn stamp and pink cookie mix
Make pink cookies and stamp them with a unicorn design. The reusable stamp is yours to keep and can later be used for more cookies or gingerbread biscuits. At home, you will need an egg, butter, a rolling pin and a little flour. Allow approximately 60 minutes for the activity.

Mini cookie kit – snowflake stamp and blue cookie mix
Make blue snowflake cookies. The reusable stamp can later be used for gingerbread biscuits and other cookies too. At home, you will need an egg, butter, a rolling pin and a little flour. Allow approximately 60 minutes for the activity.

Colour-changing lemonade mini kit – mixes and paper straw
Make colour-changing lemonade and watch the drink change colour in front of you. The kit includes the mixes and a paper straw. At home, you will need plain sparkling mineral water. The activity takes approximately 15 minutes.

Make-your-own scratch cards – 10 cards
Create 10 scratch cards yourself. Think up prizes, challenges or surprises and organise your own lottery for family or friends. A particularly fun activity for children who enjoy inventing their own games and surprises. Allow approximately 30 minutes.

Mini disco ball craft kit – 2 disco balls
Make two sparkling mini disco balls. A fun craft activity for children who enjoy decorating and making things with their hands. Once finished, the disco balls can be hung in a bedroom or used as decorations. Allow approximately one hour for the craft.

Make your own Christmas ornament and decorate it your way. A lovely Christmas activity for kids and a fun little stocking surprise. Allow approximately one hour for the craft.

You cannot choose the same activity more than once. Your activity box is made up of 5 different activities. This gives the box more variety – for example, you could choose one drink-making activity, one baking activity, one cooking activity and two craft projects. The price is the same whichever 5 different activities you choose.

What will you need from home?

Most of what you need is included in the mini kits, but depending on the activities you choose, you may need a few everyday ingredients or kitchen items from home.

For example:

  • milk and ice;
  • a blender;
  • eggs and butter;
  • a little flour and a rolling pin;
  • sparkling mineral water;
  • a hob or oven.

The exact additional ingredients or equipment needed are listed with each activity and in its instructions.

How is the activity box packaged?

The activity box does not include an additional new Lastella gift box. The activities are different sizes and some do not fit inside our standard gift box. Your five selected activities are packed in a clean, previously used shipping box. This gives an existing box another use and means you are not paying for extra packaging that you may not need – especially if you plan to divide the activities into separate Christmas stocking surprises. If you are spreading the activities over different days at Christmas, simply place the parts belonging to each activity together in the stocking.

The activities vary in difficulty. The box is generally suitable for children from 5 years, although younger children can enjoy many of the activities together with an adult.

An adult should handle hot water, the hob, oven and other kitchen appliances, or children should use them only under adult supervision.
